1983 1985 1988 1990 1991 1992 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 | 1983The first version of ROBOT is written by Andrew NIZNIK as part of his doctoral thesis for the French Civil Engineering Institute, INSA in Toulouse - France. 1985First Commercial release of ROBOT software for DOS, called ROBOT Structures and distributed by the firm ROBOT Diffusion in Toulouse. 1988Creation of Robobat incorporated firm in France. ROBOT Structures becomes one of the world leaders in both structural and civil engineering software industry. 1990Creation of a subsidiary office in Poland: Robobat Poland. 1991Robobat has 3 offices in France: in Paris, in Rennes and In Strasbourg. 1992ROBOT Structures is re-written C/C++ and renamed ROBOT V6. 1994ROBOT V6 receives top marks in annual survey of structural engineering software in United States (Modern Steel Construction Magazine). 1995ROBOT V6 is distributed in 42 countries by more than 20 distributors. With over 2 500 companies using it, ROBOT V6 is the largest of any top-end structural software packages. 1996RoboBAT introduces DDC. Combining the power of numerical calculation methods with the simplicity of a professional program, DDC marks a significant improvement for Concrete Building Structural analysis software and enables fast and easy modeling and design of RC buildings. 1997Release of ROBOT 97, first structural engineering software for Windows 95/NT. Completely re-written using Microsoft's MFC classes. 1998Creation of 2 agencies: ISS, Inc. in the United States (California) and ISS, Ltd. in the United Kingdom. Opening of two new offices in Brussels and in Tunisia. ROBOT 97 is chosen the best new software in 1998 in France. Robobat Group is already represented in 50 countries by 25 distributors and 4 subsidiaries. 1999Partnership agreement with Autodesk, Inc. to become ADN (AutoCAD Developer Network) . Partnership agreement with Autodesk, Inc. to become AAD (AutoCAD Authorized Distributor). New building for Robobat France in Montbonnot. New building for RoboBAT Poland in Cracow 2000Robobat launches ROBOT Millennium, new Windows version for structural analysis & design and develops new solution based on AutoCAD. Introduction of COM technology from Microsoft to build an open standard and platform, allowing ROBOT users to link ROBOT with in-house or third part applications. 2001Cooperation with ANSYS, Inc. (USA) an international leader who designs and develops engineering simulation solutions. Robobat launches a new product: ESOP. Robobat overtakes APILOG DIFFUSION who develops solutions for RC calculations. Financial partnership with "Banque de Vizille" and capital increase up to 1,6 mln EUR. Export development: Italy, Spain. 2002Robobat launches two new products detailing CAD solutions within AutoCAD: RCAD Steel and RCAD Reinforcement. Partnership agreement with INGECIBER, S.A.S. (Spain). Partnership with Spatial, Corp. (USA) - Dassault Systeme (France) to integrate ACIS solid modeler in ROBOT Millennium. Partnership with Pell Frischmann (UK) to integrate Autoloader, vehicle loads modeler, in ROBOT Millennium. Significant development of activity in the area of Mechanics (ANSYS - DesignSpace). Robobat becomes the principal distributor of DesignSpace in France. Important increase of export sales +22%. Consolidation of activity in Italy, Spain, Algeria and Nordic countries. Eureka: financially supports the e-Designer project (budget: 1 M€). 200315 years of RoboBAT - April 2003. In 2003, Robobat Group cumulative sales exceeded 12 000 licenses for all its programs. Idea of global product integration become the driving force of development. Robobat launches new versions of RCAD Steel and RCAD Reinforcement. 2004Robobat launches CBS Pro - new generation of software for pre-design of RC structures. Robobat signs a contract with COADE, Inc. (USA) - a world leader in plant design and analysis software. Turnover of Robobat Group exceeded 10 mln USD. 2005Robobat launches a new product - RCAD Formwork Drawings. Collaborative partnership agreement (Enhanced Solutions Partner) with ANSYS, Inc. - integration of ESOP (Engineering Software Open Platform) system with ANSYS Workbench to provide new engineering solutions to Workbench projects. Development of the Partnership Agreement with Autodesk, Inc. (USA) - the flag Robobat product, ROBOT Millennium, is integrated with REVIT - the new Autodesk software for building industry. Rapid export development: new distributors, export sales increase up to 80%. Licenses of Robobat software are in use in over 100 countries. 2006Robobat was audited and found to be in accordance with the requirements of management system standard ISO 9001:2000. Robobat was awarded the designation of Innovative Company by OSEO ANVAR (the French innovation agency). 2007Robobat opened a new subsidiary in North America. Robobat launches a new version of ROBOT Office, compatible with Windows Vista™. Robobat signs an exclusive contract with ADAPT Corporation (a world software leader for the advanced analysis and design of structural concrete slab and foundation systems) to distribute Robobat products to India markets. The further development of the Partnership Agreement with Autodesk, Inc. (USA) - Robobat released a series of Extensions for Revit®, Autodesk's building information modeling (BIM) software for structural engineers. Robobat obtained the status of “Microsoft Gold Certified Partner”. |
