ROBOT Open Standard

A Focus on integration with third party programs using ROBOT Millennium and "COM Technology"

THE PHILOSOPHY
The concept of linking applications together to provide a "single solution" is not new, but few solutions offer a "real" practical approach for doing this. With ROBOT Millennium, our goal was to create a software that:
  • is 100% open to third party software
  • could be "integrated" and not simply "linked" to other applications
  • could be driven from an external software to provide a bespoke solution
  • was able to be "open" in an easy to use way that did not assume any prior programming skills by the user
We are pleased to say that our goals were reached and we have utilized "COM Technology" as introduced by Microsoft® to provide all of these abilities and more.

THE SOLUTION
COM Technology has been implemented in ROBOT Millennium and is now introduced as "ROBOT Open Standard" or ROS.
ROS opens up an endless list of possibilities - some examples include:
  • "driving" ROBOT from external programs, such as MS Excel®, MS Word®, AutoCAD®...
  • extracting results from ROBOT Millennium analysis . writing post processing software, such as "special" codified analysis for steel, concrete, timber, aluminum...
  • creating "parametric" structures in ROBOT Millennium and all of this is done WITHOUT the exchange of files, since ROS can generate a single INTEGRATED solution
All of this can be done easily by the user!

BENEFITS
  • a single integrated solution
  • "drive" ROBOT Millennium from external applications without the need to encounter or learn the ROBOT Millennium interface . design your own interface and software using the ROBOT Millennium engine!
  • extract ROBOT Millennium results into familiar "general" packages (such as MS Excel® or MS Word®)
  • integrate your existing spreadsheets with ROBOT Millennium
