Great success of the Worldwide Sales Conference, Barcelona 2007

Every year, Robobat organises the Worldwide Sales Conference to bring together its various worldwide distributors and partners. The ninth conference took place this year from 12 to 14 September in Barcelona. 22 companies (21 countries, 4 continents) attended the event, which was organised by Robobat’s Export team, providing an opportunity to discuss the export market, new products and the development of new partnerships and new distributors. There were 27 speeches over the three days, with a number of important subjects emerging from the theme Extend your vision, Extend your business.

Strong export growth
Robobat’s export sales increased by 44% over the first half of 2007 (compared to the first half of 2006). Strong growth that is going to be further improved in the future with the potential offered by the Asian and North American markets.

New software packages
Barcelona provided an opportunity for an exclusive preview of the Robobat products developed for the forthcoming version 21 of ROBOT Office. These new products include the range of calculation and pre-sizing software (ROBOT Millennium, CBS Pro and ESOP) and the range of CAD software (RCAD Steel, Concrete Reinforcements and Formwork). One of the highlights was the presentation by Pawel Piechnik of the Extensions for Revit, the series of applications written by Robobat, which have been added to the functionalities of Revit® Autodesk Structure.

The arrival of new distributors
Within the next few weeks, Robobat should have over 50 distributors worldwide in the light of the very advanced negotiations taking place with 6 new ones, located in Australia, Brazil, Peru, Russia and South Africa respectively.
This year, the WSC added in a prize award ceremony to reward the 7 best Robobat distributors for their excellent work. In Barcelona, Soufiane SMAILI topped the list for sales activity achieved in Morocco over last 12 months and last 3 years.

Stronger technological and commercial partnerships
Nicolas Mangon, Senior Product Manager for Revit, came to present the Autodesk strategy and the strong development prospects arising out of the reinforced technological and commercial agreements signed with Robobat.
Florian Aalami, Vice Chief Executive of ADAPT, came to talk about future links between ADAPT and ROBOT Millennium software packages and Robobat product distribution agreements signed for the Indian market.

All the participants, who had come from the four corners of the world, left satisfied that they had attended this 9th WSC in the delightful capital of Catalonia. They were particularly impressed by the quality of the presentations and took advantage of the occasion to discuss the success of Robobat software.
